Like most of us, you’re busy. If you’re having a hard time finding the time to craft Facebook posts to your business page or your posting sporadically, you definitely need to read on. Take a look at how easy it is to schedule your posts right in Facebook. You can prepare a post and schedule it to appear later by adding a date and time in the future before you post it. You can schedule a post up to six months in advance in 10-minute intervals. Facebook’s instructions on how to schedule posts are as follows:
- Once you’ve crafted your update, click the clock icon in the lower left-hand corner of the sharing tool.
- Select the year, month, day, hour, and minute. All times correspond to the time zone the user is in at the time of this action.
- Click schedule. It’s that easy.

Confirmation: You’ll then see a confirmation of the date and time your post is scheduled to publish. Click to view your activity log.
Activity Log: You can review or cancel any of your scheduled posts by visiting your activity log.
If you choose a date in the past, the post will appear immediately at the appropriate place on your Page’s timeline. All times correspond to the current time zone you’re in. You can see or edit scheduled Page posts from your Page’s activity log. If you want to learn how to schedule posts ‘on the go’ using the Pages Manager app, check out an earlier blog post here.
